Eskimo Joe
Lightning picking up on the southern edge of the line. It's just now starting to enter the better environment so the next 40 to 45 min will be key to see if it has any staying power.
Mrs.J
Line has just hit here. Wind driven rain and occasional thunder. Just had a nice crack scared the cat sitting next to the window.
Eskimo Joe
Watch tail end charlies on the line...got a hail marker on it and the lightning is going pretty good with it.
midatlanticweather
Not too exciting. Bit of wind and some quick heavy rain. Heard one thunderclap here in Purcellville. This is quickly moving on, but was not just a rain shower.. had winds in the upper 30s briefly.

It's moving in to way better instability, but the good wind fields are quickly moving off to the east, and the low level flow is veering. Storm-relative helicity will therefore be dropping as the line approaches the DC-Baltimore area, so the tornado threat is decreasing, but the wind threat is likely increasing. That said, despite the decreasing shear, it still could be sufficient for some rotation within the line.

Couple claps of thunder and put me over 1" for the day. Looks like the energy is on both ends not so much the middle. Bright blue skies behind.

Baltimorewx
Some sun ahead of the line to the west...should at least make it the best thunderstorm of the storm, not saying much. On the bright side, while maybe still windy it looks like it’ll be quite nice from about 330-sunset
