sbnwx85
Always fun to look at Google traffic maps in Chicago during winter weather.
tuanis
Kinda surprised at the amount of snow on the ground up here in Lake County vs what had accumulated down by O’Hare. Closing in on 3”. Granted my drive home took ages.

OrdIowPitMsp
Up to 4” now, NWS thinking we will go into a period of FRDZ from 9pm-2am then switch back over to snow.
Jackstraw
1:5 odds 65 closes between IND and ORD by midnight for a crash lol.
cyclone77
Averaging just over 4" here now. Nice dendrites now with this enhanced band moving through. Wind is really scouring the snow away from certain areas. 5

hawkeye_wx
My snow total is 4.5".... a solid event. It's too bad we can't get those rates for longer than a few hours. 3
Hoosier
Have had fairly bad luck with the better bands so far but upstream radar looks good so should still be able to manage a few inches.
sbnwx85
About 1.5" here. Not official, but I'll share amongst friends.

cyclone77
Wind is ripping straight away from my perspective in this pic. Nary a flake has managed to stick to the picnic table top today. Nice sculpted drifts surround it.

I haven't looked since before I left for work early this morning, but back then the HRRR was showing the snow/mix line reaching here between 7-8pm, so whatever that run was nailed it perfectly for this particular area. 1

Maneee
In the Glenview Northbrook area it’s snowing between moderate and heavy, and I’m guessing there’s about 2 1/2 inches on the ground. Although I may be off because it’s also quite windy
Chicago WX
Pounding snow in this band. Some good sized flakes too. Sorta makes up for being sucker holed earlier, for a time. 5
Mogget
Regardless of how much or little snow we get, this is a beautiful storm right now. Snow, wind, drifting...just lovely!

tuanis
Closing in on 4”, blowing around pretty good, solid flake size. Forgot what this looks like.
Frog Town
Not much noise from the Ohio crew but we are on the fringes of our first legit snow fall of the season. Not what I pictured for our first snow storm but I'll take it. I like how things are looking upstream. My guess is we end up with 6"+ in NW Ohio.
