If only.

Crazy runs of the Canadian aside, I feel like things are genuinely looking up with this storm. 18z EURO improved and upped the ante on precip and snow, NAMs took serious steps when they wanted to kill the mood earlier...

Not entirely sure what the consequences of another bump N would be temperature wise, but I think there is genuinely a shot at a widespread 1-2" if it shifts a little more north.

That said, my bar is flakes.

Gfs went from .07" qpf to .23 " up here . Nice bump . Nice trends at 0z

And you didn’t want to post the SREF in the main thread. Sheesh

Nice trends tonight for sure. The compevt nature actually helps. An event with .25 qpf over 8 hours wouldnt work with the marginal temps. Get it to dump for a few hours and it could fall our way.

Looks quite a bit different on tropical tidbits. Less than 1”

I would take s dusting...models have backed off the coastal transfer idea so the few flakes that do fly would be concentrated in the zones North and West of 95.  Fun to have something to track as paltry as it may be.  Bearable to wake up and go to work on the Monday after the holidays!
