What was your total? I think we are less than 10 miles apart. We are ussually close.
Finished with 3" on the nose. Like you, that last band was nice... But brief. Temp dropped and nice dendrites for about 30 minutes was the push I needed.

Best snow event of the decade! And a really nice treat to tide us over through the upcoming shutout period.

No complaints at all, especially when we were expecting a no-go until after Jan 20th anyway.

@psuhoffman has been quiet (unless I missed it)......need to know how that inverted trough paid off for you in Jackpotville. Any takers for 6"?

Northwest Columbia near Howard: 1.5 on my table at 7pm after whatever compaction occurred.  2.25 on elevated surfaces like my grill.  Fun little storm.  @nw baltimore wx HoCo has the trucks out salting but the plows are up.  My little electric snow blower about froze solid on the melt filled slush on the side walk.

So you’re saying there’s a chance in the morning???

Temp is plummeting.  22° after a high of 33.
Just returned from a drive around the area and in the densest patches of fog the truck thermometer rapidly fell as low as 15° and then shot back up as soon as we found clearing.  Rural roads are snow-covered and icy.

Beautiful night for a walk too, with brilliant starlight above the ground fog and a bright moon.

My daughter Nora got to play in the snow for the first time. She loved it. Then took my son to the school at the bottom of the mountain to go sledding.  I was saying we are overdue for a year without a warning level event here, been since 2002. This won’t be the year. Ended up with 5.2”.

Down to 27 now.  Roads are very icy up here.
