SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Wow, what a storm in yorktown. Can’t get a proper measurement with all the drifting but I’m guessing 10-12 if not more.
IrishRob17
Yeah, tough to get accurate measurements with this wind, 11” at my snow stakes.

I've been living in DC for the last 11 years and I haven't been able to get back here for a storm in a while. I grew up in this area. It's so nice to be here for a cold powder bomb like this.
CPcantmeasuresnow
11.5 inches as of an hour ago. Maybe i eke a foot but probably a hair short. With all the hype for us here, this pretty much matched the December 2nd storm from last year but in a much different way.

That's going to be a delicate and arduous operation with lights and wires flanking the driveway. Sure, no problem but you’re not getting any of the beef chili I’m about to whip up. local roads r bad. Plowed but Slippery. about another inch on the board.
snywx
12” final here.. a bit disappointed but wow at those totals near bgm
Juliancolton
The sun is breaking through and 11.9" will do it for storm total. In a vacuum, my 11.5" call for my location looks pretty masterful. Just ignore all the other towns.
gravitylover
Tough to call it 12" but it's definitely more than 8. I was spot on with the pack compressing sleet/pellet mix and my overall depth call. For such a cold storm this is some dense stuff and it's still coming down at about .5"/hr. 1 hour ago, DCTeacherman said: Wow, what a storm in yorktown. There's no way to get decent measurements with this storm.
Dark Star
6.0" final total pretty consistent around my house in central Union County NJ. Hit my low mark of my 6"-8" prediction. That was mainly based on the secondary "forming" too far north.
Hitman
Still snowing here. Might get to a foot. Eyeballing another 2” on the board since 6am clearing.
LaGrangewx
13” depth in driveway and 14”depth in the yard. I cleared 8.5-9” last night and there is 7.5 new. So around 15-16 is my estimate.

Juliancolton
Drifting is actually pretty minimal around here. I drove around for a while and while it was clearly a windy storm based on the lack of snow on roofs and in trees, there are really no big drifts to report. Any ideas what the liquid equivalent was? Started off real fluffy but very dense in the middle and a bit lighter on top with this mornings snow. gravitylover
With the extra fluff this morning I definitely got to a foot. Good storm. Another 3 or 4 like this and I'll be happy.

Maybe later if I feel ambitious I’ll do a core sample too.

The weenie band up north probably had 20+ to 1 ratios. NH, VT, and NY all with 40+ reports. I can’t remember a storm like that. March 2017 didn’t and I don’t think valentines 2007 did either. Relatively short duration storm as well. That could’ve been one of the all time great snow bands in a noreaster.
LaGrangewx
Widespread reports of prolonged 6+ inch per hour snow in that band for 3-4 hours. That is Unheard of outside of lake effect

LaGrangewx
Just saw Albany reports. No shot someone in Hopewell Junction had 25.5 that’s bs. 15-17 at most here with clearing. They must have Slant sticked a drift.

I was up there afterwards and it was bat shit crazy. So much snow.
