CNY-LES FREAK
Been snowing for hrs and hrs, just chilling, stoking the fire, and watching Football, at this Pt, who cares about totals, lol!
TugHillMatt
Huge dendrites have been falling here moderately, to at times, heavy. I put the computer down for a while to just sit, watch, and enjoy. By far the best winter day of the season.
wolfie09
Coming down nicely right now, beautiful dendrites..
CNY-LES FREAK
It looks absolutely gorgeous out there as my town just doesn't want or cares to plow till the shit stops, lol, who cares if the patrons have to drive through a foot of marshmallow snuff, lol, as that's the consistency of this stuff. Styrofoam like and I bet it'll take about 10 dendrites to form a water droplet, lol!Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
CNY-LES FREAK
Theres definitely still a WnW flow out there as there continues to be enough seeding, in the upper layers H700 level, dropping in from our N&W, so we look good for a couple more hrs at least I would think. The flakes got super tiny here for about half an hour...but picking up again now. Looks like the north Buffalo burbs are getting hit pretty good right now. wolfie09
Starting to dry up some.. Still snowing pretty good..Down 14° . A good couple inches since it started snowing again, pure fluff, obviously..
WNash
I went out to shovel to burn off some frustration from watching the Titans let Mahomes walk in at the end of the first half. We had around 6 inches since Friday night, but yesterday’s accumulation got rained on then froze. Had everything completely clear, even had the last of the sun shining down at sunset, then we had a heavy burst that put down another half inch.

TugHillMatt
The winds must have become too northerly. Snowfall has really cut off here since around 5:30. Still snowing, but the tiniest little flakes possible.
TugHillMatt
For a crappy winter, Rochester sure is beating the other big cities out. Seems like every event, Rochester has done great.

TugHillMatt
Yup, more of a northerly component. You can see the way it's coming in over Oswego too.

Rgem brother all the way... It's almost like the lower resolution (10k) helps it a little compared to the 3k models that overdo everything, they make it like only higher elevations exist lol
wolfie09
For the most part the SR guidance did pretty good this afternoon showing the trough swings through as well as winds going NNW/N behind it, with a couple exceptions..
SouthBuffaloSteve
Eh for how cruddy this winter has been guess I did ok with this one. 2” of slop from the synoptic, 1” from the Erie band overnight, 2” of fluff bombs from the ontario streamers. That snow burst earlier was just beautiful. Snow globe type snow... Surprised we got 2” out of those streamers. .
TugHillMatt
The Rgem has been on fire with nailing down the lake snows. Larger fluffers starting to come down again. Looking at radar...is this considered a "tea kettle snow"?
lakeeffectkid383
I had a little over 5” from the synoptic snow and it was pure concrete especially once the rain fell on top of it and it all froze overnight into a solid glacier. Added 2.5” of straight fluff throughout the day today with snow falling of various intensity throughout almost the entire day. The most wintry it’s felt since the middle of November. Combine that with football Championship games and a beautiful fire going and today has been a beautiful day, now if only Green Bay wasn’t getting destroyed... This is all at my new house in Amherst as I am no longer in West Seneca. I assume they had similar to SB Steve if not a little bit less being a little further south during yesterday’s event.
