CoastalWx
Like with every storm this season, still not clear cut. I like what the NWS did. Highlights the areas best for siggy impacts.

Based on this map it looks like it will end up being a ho-hum scenic level 0-1 for most of us, 2 for some, and pretty memorable for a few not too far from Tolland. Tolland, MA, that is. mahk_webstah
A bit surprised to have a winter storm warning up here given the projection is for 5 to 8 inches over like two days. And not that much ice up here. Not sure why that would warrant a warning.

Damage In Tolland
Kind of just a play it by ear. I guess like Will said if these low dews today in the 20’s are still in place tonight.. things could get interesting. HREF really gives in on the elevation dependency

CoastalWx
Not really sure this is a big deal inside 128 and along coast. Seems like cold push is a bit less on overnight guidance. They’ll be sleet, but temps may be above freezing.

There of been a couple of euro runs showing more than a foot of snow here recently but NWS doesn’t seem to be buying that.

Yeah--it's looking better for you. Looks like a lot of mixing along the mid-coast so no need to go to Pit 2 for that. I'll stay here and, like most of us, watch a little sleet instead. I had posted earlier that I tend to be really dismissive of widespread ice events. It requires such a fine balance that they rarely play out to much more than some visual appeal. While there are notable exceptions, the vast majority turn into something meh for the masses. It appears that this will become one of those, My back-of-mind concern as to whether there could be a power outage has now been replaced with the fear my plow guy will think enough sleet to warrant coming by.
