I think he'll get some glaze, but it will be more marginal that far to the southwest, away from the source region.
WinterWolf
Well you have big ice on your map way out to the west however...that’s quite a ways away from the source region also...

Yes, higher in latitude, though....more sleet is expected to the east because the cold layer will be thicker.

moneypitmike
Does it seem to anyone else like December has been an interminable month? Perhaps just because of the early-month systems. Either way, I finally get an watch--and it's for ice, not snow. This map doesn't scream damage. Is that simply because it's only our to 7:00p.m. on 12/30?

Modfan
Are the Hills in Eastern Windham County in CT not good for ice Accretion? Woukd seem like from Thompson down to East Killingly right down to Ginxy could do well in this set up. Btw- 3-4" of rain down here in the last three hours; I know how western NY feels with Lake affect bands accept this is winds off the ocean over the gulf stream and its not white! Clown maps are usually something frozen even if not snow.. GFS temps for the most part have been warm with surface temps.

mahk_webstah
Gyx zones sound good in terms of 2-6 through Monday with possibly some mixing then snow Monday night and Tuesday with no accums indicated yet. Would imply a 6-12 ish warning level event but who knows.
