There is a decent chance I missed one or two but these are most of them. Just listing months and temps. Feb 2011 (1)-68 Dec 2013(1)-70 Feb 2017(5) 68,68,69,75,76 Feb 2018(2) 77,

I do not have time to check now but guessing if you did the other decades back to 1950's it was at least a little less common. The 2017/2018 seasons skewed this last decade high. Edit-Blizz (and maybe Nut) are probably steaming seeing posts about temps in the 70's but this is a weather board not just a winter weather board. I like discussing extremes. :-)

Yes, that’s the time that I was upset about the warm up. I had told you that there was no way that we would go over 70... but you were right & we almost hit 80 ! Then, after that, things got really good with -NAO blocking & we got hit with that good snowstorm with over a foot in the middle of March.

I’m not upset. I love anytime that this board gets a good discussion going. @pasnownut is too busy now with his snowmobile in upstate NY to be worried about the warm up talk. I am very comforted by knowing that this warm up is temporary. We only have 5 days until winter returns. The best days of this winter will be starting next weekend! Santa Clause
Any idea what is needed to go from Watch to high wind warning? Seems wind advisory could cover it all.

Blizzard of 93
The 12z GFS is on board with snow to ice for us next Saturday. The high to our north east looks strong & this system looks to have a ton of moisture.
Blizzard of 93
Our crazy Canadian friend at 12z has an even colder look for next Saturday & develops a secondary low to our south east that locks in the cold & unleashes a great looking winter storm. If we divided it’s outcome by 2 or 3, most of us would be thrilled!

Blizzard of 93
Here are the 12z GEFS snow maps. The first map is through next Sunday after our first potential event next weekend. The second map is through day 16. We should be very busy in here for the rest of the month!
daxx
12z Euro was definitely an improvement over its 00z run. This is for early next weekend. Front end snow to rain. Hopefully we can keep trending better as we get closer.
daxx
We get some light snow on the 20th and 21st from ns disturbance. A low pops up off the NC coast on 21st and tracks northeast. Ten days away to change that. Good times are ahead I believe.
Voyager
I was just going to post that the big 3 all seem to have at least a SECSy look to them. If that locks in, I'm not sure if be working next Sunday even though it's a short Palmerton to Hollywood Casino run.
