40/70 Benchmark
Finally, Canadian ensemble mean also looks a bit better, but needs to be a slightly further south, as well. All three ensemble means have trended towards a snowstorm.
USCAPEWEATHERAF
Strong banding developing over Cape Cod Bay and east of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Infrared imagery shows developing vertical growth in the clouds as the cloud tops continue to cool. Instability is quite high now over 18C delta Ts present with a NNW wind currently. Bands developing all over the Cape right now, even favoring mid-Cape. However with the arctic air mass in place, comes very dry air too. Relative humidifies are just below 70%, which is not currently ideal.

40/70 Benchmark
It looks like confluence trended better on all three pieces of data, as well, which jives with the slightly south and more intense trend...but I'm not the greatest at diagnosing confluence. mahk_webstah
Looking at WPC this morn it seems the low position Sunday morning is the same spot just south of LI inside the benchmark. The high north of Maine is in a better position than yesterday’s depiction. The storm does scoot ene from there though, not sure how that impact nne folks. Why the slip east?
wdrag
For what it's worth... am part of the NYC Forum so I won't split my allegiance. My graphics occasionally include references to I84 which is my briefing group at home. You've got excellent forecasters up there! Regards to all and hopefully winter makes some sort of comeback.
