It can't be worse than here. It's at least $800k for a decent 2 bedroom with 2k sq feet, no yard. plus BOS property taxes (and I wouldn't even send my kids to public because the sports suck)

I will shut up about the housing market now, LOL

You could get a beautiful house in NE Ct NW RI with 2k sq feet for under 200K, pay about 3500 taxes, be 45 minutes from PVD 30 from ORH,  90 from Boston.  45 from the casinos and best beaches in SNE outside Coast Guard Beach, plus no sharks. If I was a youngin, I would. Good or better climo snow than Boston, quick access to all stores plus quiet.

That's what 10 years of reckless interest rate policy and quantitative easing will get you. Starting to price a lot of people out. There will be another reckoning at some point in the next couple years, both in the real estate and the equity/bond markets. Anyway, so as to not entirely derail this thread, SNE still needs work for next weekend, but I'm liking the u-wind anomalies for slow movement. That east flow looks delicious for the usual favored areas. I'm betting Monadnock gets crushed. If we can get the high to press a bit more, we might be able to sneak in a decent event down this way, but certainly not holding my breath.

NW RI is like N ORH county. With less snow.  Hillbillies and mud.

That's an old wifes tale. There are a lot of really great people up here.

CT might be a different story.

and I kid (mostly). My sister lives in Burrillville after living in Chepachet.  Those are some deep dark woods in parts

Not sure why she moved there after living in Narragansett though.

One thing that keeps many of us in MA is retirement. No state taxes in SS or public pensions.   That’s huge for some of us.  Also, for a valuation well north of 1m, I’m paying under 10k property taxes.   So I’m not sure how we got to be “taxachusetts” but It’s a good place to retire to in certain situations.

Hopefully this system works out for us....if not..oh well.

Peace and quiet, people who mind their own business.

Its gonna snow where it wants to snow, toss surface maps this has you written all over it. Look forward to seeing how this evolves. Don't care if I snow at all. This has that look.

Or Canadian. Exactly what I mentioned earlier this morning of what you don’t want to see.

The HP position was not good and there would be a lot of warm air unless you were in the deep interior but then you may not have the qpf either where it is cold enough, I'm not feeling this one.
