Big dendrites become more frequent and soon they become prominent. Another couple of minutes they become smaller again. Rinse and repeat. I have noticed this happen in other storms too. Just went outside, its downright nasty out. Roads are icy,slushy. Driveways and sidewalks are literally a sheet of ice. Less than an inch here in Lowell, meanwhile the grass is covered in Thornton via webcam. Looks like about 2" up there already. Obviously an underperformer for here, but possibly overperformer in NNE. Posted December 17, 2019 Share Posted December 17, 2019 Still below freezing here...30.7 per the new weather station, although I've heard some drips outside for the past hour so really haven't seen any significant accretion.
