Ya ground zero seems to be from merritt parkway to 84. North of there more sleet, south of there maybe just above freezing. Every single piece of guidance agrees on this. I think you may have mentioned that could be the focal zone the other day...pretty solid call. Now it's just a matter of how much ZR we're talking about. Now it's just a matter of how much ZR we're talking about. Yes, thanks. Yes seems like all guidance is pretty much 2/3rd of an inch to an inch of freezing rain for the "ground zero" area.. Obviously that would be hard to get , this area has gotten hit pretty badly the past 12 months from ice. We've had at about 5 ice storms of greater than 1/4 inch. Trees have taken a beating, pretty much a guarantee to lose power. We had about a quarter inch on December 1-2 this month.

NorEastermass128
Seems like us coastal folks that keep the MLs cold enough should do fine. BLs shouldn’t torch too bad I would think in a SWFE.

Go Kart Mozart
NAM FOUS shows LGA never going above freezing below the 900 level. Ruh Roh! Edit, it does go well above at 900,it's the boundary that stays at or below.

ORH_wxman
Here's the 12z RGEM meteocentre map for snow. Def a bit of a bump north on the max snows. That north of pike region though has been targeted on a lot of guidance...including previous RGEM runs that weren't as suppressed as 06z.
