Just saw that, there has been a slight trend to have a band of 3-6 inches snow somewhere, right now central CT is in that area. I suspect that changes and shifts north. The more the first batch dampens out, the 'snowier' things have been looking around here. Definitely more of a front end snow thump...

Ongoing winter precipitation events are almost always a cancellation, given desire of bus companies to stay off the roads when precip is still ongoing and opposition from DPW folks who do not like to have their trucks actively treating or scraping with kids standing along the sides of roads or at street corners... Yeah I guess it was wishful thinking hoping this would maybe start later on Tuesday rather than earlier. In my district we definitely closed a couple times so far when a delay was all we needed. Give me the bigger thump even though that translates to a longer ice event. Encase that sucker so my kid can fly down the front lawn on his plastic sled. 3

USCAPEWEATHERAF
It is the H7 and H85 lows that screw the area if we wanted all snow event, the centers cut across the region which is why the eastern areas torch to rain.
