87storms
pretty decent moisture fetch: https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/conus_band.php?sat=G16&band=08&length=12 gotta fight some dry air, but all systems go for the first legitimate light snow of the season. snowfan
0Z NAMs not exactly a great output for anyone sans extreme N/W. Dry slotted by 12Z and directs the secondary push of moisture north into PA.

Nams max my yard right around 32 tomorrow. Even the Euro gets us no higher than the mid 30's and that isn't until Tuesday afternoon while the GFS gets near 50. Down to 30 here now.

clskinsfan
12K NAM is interesting. Showing a pretty decent ice event for NW of the cities tomorrow evening. Would be cool to get some crust on top of the snow before the rain hits.

WxUSAF
IAD 0z sounding had wet bulbs below freezing through the entire column except maybe right at surface. Low levels are dry. Virga fest to start. And yes, models account for that.

WinterWxLuvr
Sometimes precip can overcome the dry air very quickly. The Jan 2010 storm is an example. It was about 15 degrees with a dewpoint of 4 and when the first echo appeared overhead we had snow flakes falling.

And then sometimes you get flurries for 10 minutes and the sky just opens up. Hope it starts sooner than later. I am ready for my first Jebwalk of the year.
