So it's still 32 here, even hot JYO is 32. Seriously stupid question but is freezing still 32 anymore? It sure doesn't feel like it makes ice these days

:unsure:Obviously ice formation works best the lower the temp. Just because the air temp is freezing (32) doesnt mean the objects out there are (pavement, decks, rails etc)

Road spray from the brine is salting the air and dropping the freezing point into the upper 20s.

Drove from Ellicott City to Chevy Chase to Westminster today. Roads all clear, snowpack slowly degraded as I drove south to CC, barely anything around the beltway. Westminster had more coverage but temps were above freezing and surfaces were just wet. Can't believe schools in the area closed. Had just under an inch in EC.

36 and drizzle. Temp rose a couple degrees overnight. What a cold, miserable period. After the snow/sleet/rain of yesterday morning, it's been a drizzle fest here.

Barely a quarter inch of rain total so far.

It's been like this for the last couple weeks, and even when the sun has been out it's almost always been breezy (this past Sunday was an exception).

Really an awful stretch of weather.
