wolfie09
WNW is mainly 280-300 vector, 280 puts it near parish, 300 south of Fulton..Ksyr needs more of a 310.
CNY-LES FREAK
It would also be nice if there was an incoming HP which wasn't such weak sauce at 1024, lol! If that was a 1040 or better we'd have a totally different situation on our hands but we have nothing but LP's all over the place. Need HP's to supply Cold Air, remember Air flows from HP towards LP and if there are none, what do we expect, lol! Look at the Surface, all LP's no HP's except the baby I talked about!

Depending on the exact angle of degrees, of course...(maybe that's why you hate them?)

How's this compared to models? Faster/slower? If this intensifies quicker than the models maybe we will still see a surprise.

MAIDEsNow.2
FWIW, it has flipped to snow already looking at Peek'n Peak webcams, very noticeable on the Terrain Park cam. Will stay at cabin tonight for sure, hopefully an overachiever.

rochesterdave
Such a perfect storm for WNY. Surface is just too warm. IDK. Anything could still happen but my optimism for the population regions has taken a hit. It hurts to watch model run, after model run just shave away at your hope. But as Freak mentioned, the precip will be pulling away as the thermal profile improves so it'll be a bit of a race between these elements. The mon/tues system seems like it may be a similar category of snowfall.
Thinksnow18
Sniw already over southern Ontario just west of buffalo...lots of moisture to go in thinking switch around 1 at lower levels at the heart of the precip rates

And we know how that goes........

TugHillMatt
I found a pretty neat link for webcams. Looking at it, snowpack looks wrecked across most of the Northeast, including the 'Dacks. Could be a factor in not having much cold air to work with. https://www.windy.com/?43.890,-75.048,7
