LES in Erie county is the only thing they give a **** about. It’s been a slow start to the LES season, hope BUF gets some action. This far out, it’s impossible to figure on a wind direction. As others have said, S towns and Tug look interesting. But the through Wayne county in. Has SYR ever been last in the golden snowball? Don’t bet against them. Lol Strong LES has massive impacts on travel in comparison to synoptic storms. They rarely impact travel around Buffalo. We go about our normal day with storm system snow, lake effect is another animal. There have only been a handful of synoptic systems that have truly impacted us. The biggest one in my mind was March 2008 when I got in a pretty bad car accident in Eden.

The cold air is definitely coming and that should result in heavy LES as the moisture is there. Winds are the only questionable factor.

Looking up wind at the radar off lake Huron the band affecting the northern 1/2 of the Niagara Frontier looks very strong and shows no sign of letting up...this was not forecasted.
