Just cleared 8” of the heaviest snow ever...took 2 hours as opposed to 45 minutes. SouthEast Clarence.

BUF should never have taken that Ads down. WSW criteria was met at your home and that's in northern erie county. It was definitely worthy of it for Northern erie, more so than southern erie.

The amazing thing is the wrf model nailed this event...it had the bullseye well inland from the lake NE of the city.

Here's my skeptical call for Lake effect in Onondaga county.

Band stays north of us all night...then as the wind shirts northwesterly, it transitions and sets up to our south over the hills. I doubt we even see an inch.

Freak looks to be getting in on some good action...or he's very close to it. Surprised he hasn't stopped in.

NWS discusses the LES potential next week as east of the lakes but a significant event looking likely at this time.

Yes I’m thinking next week the Southtowns are gonna be buried! Think the flow may be too Westerly to make it to the city/north towns but it’s still super early. At least we have something to track and look forward to.

Yeah at this juncture it looks to be deep southtowns. Oh well. We had our chance yesterday and we got a case of whoop ass instead.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Much colder air will pour into the Great Lakes region Tuesday night
through Wednesday. This may allow heavy lake effect snow to develop
east of Lake Erie.

Winds look W/WSW right now. I'm usually on northern end of the band with west winds. Early season events usually go farther north then modeled too. Still too far out to judge winds as shortwaves can change mean wind direction and won't know that until 1-2 days before.

HWO this far out?. BUF is ridiculous. LES in Erie county is the only thing they give a **** about.

It’s been a slow start to the LES season, hope BUF gets some action. This far out, it’s impossible to figure on a wind direction. As others have said, S towns and Tug look interesting. But the through Wayne county in.
Has SYR ever been last in the golden snowball? Don’t bet against them. Lol
