Love me a CanSips mild torchy winter and cold rainy April lol. Maybe our big snow is early April this year. It's like taking the over in a football game....you're never really out of it until the bitter end. That’s a great analogy.

Persistently chilly, no brutal cold, but not warm either. Not a snow pattern, and pretty close to a shutout in reality(esp for the coastal plain) yet it feels like it should for this time of year. I would honestly take this for the rest of the winter vs. a torchy pattern. Agree except for the last few days when the temp has basically been stuck between 35-45. Boring. I need something below freezing.

cbmclean
FRD had a depressing post about the AO in the main thread. Maybe this is what many of the seasonals were picking up on with their warm December predictions? So far the eastern CONUS has been dodging the worst of the consequences. Never good to live on the edge of the cliff though. Edit: Actually, sometimes it can be good to be on the cold side of the rain-to-snow transition line. Always nerve-racking though. BTRWx's Thanks Giving
My dad found this article on Yahoo (I know it's not the best source) about a claim how Buffalo, NY hasn't experienced agw like the rest of the country has. I'm trying to see why the two charts for temperature and precipitation trends differ so much from the supported research. Thoughts? https://www.citylab.com/environment/2019/12/climate-change-displacement-refuge-city-buffalo-new-york/602758/?utm_medium=offsite&utm_source=yahoo&utm_campaign=yahoo-non-hosted&yptr=yahoo

cbmclean
You know, if you grew up there, you probably wouldn't even care. From the NWS national summary page. Further east, Winter Storm Watches have been issued for much of the Sierra Nevada where snow amounts will range from 1-3 feet through the weekend. Ralph Wiggum
From what I've seen, most of the posters in here are Ravens fans more so than Redskins no? Anyway, amazing how poor the NFC East is. Technically the Skins are still in the hunt for the Division at 3-9. Unreal.
