Hello NYC - from a chilly London ENG

I used to be on here moons ago before my account was lost.

I havent really looked at the models or even any details > but the crude measure for times square webcam was that at 6pm GMT it was 37F & now sits at 33F (9pm GMT )  so the transition is pretty much complete to all snow.

Obviously Manhattan especially the central point of times square has a high UHI so to be at 33F means areas sightly to the NW are probably 32F or below-

Enjoy the snow -

Updated ECM 12z showing another snow even in about 8-9 days time although it could be further upstate

Have a good eve -

Is the coastal storm very slow to form or just not enough energy with it?? From what I see on Radar and satellite it doesn’t look like it’s fully form, is that true? Thanks

I told u guys another blossoming of precip will happen around 6-7pm that’s when most of the accumulations will happen. Enjoy

Radar looks bad

Every model had 4-8 inches for the NYC area last night and this morning because of the banding. This is why I hate to rely on banding. They usually end up somewhere else.

Rgem, HRDPS, Gefs, euro eps, Nam, cmc , geps all showed several inches this morning. TWC updated to 5-8 inches earlier today.  The radar did look good earlier today but now it looks really bad. Maybe we get a few inches but even that looks bad.

I hate starting storms with temps above freezing. Give me a storm where temps are in the 20s.

Miller A storms please

Starting a storm in NYC with temps at 34 or higher is a kiss of death 9 times out of 10.
