URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service New York NY
945 PM EST Sun Dec 1 2019

NJZ006-NYZ072>075-176>178-021100-
/O.CON.KOKX.WW.Y.0013.191202T1600Z-191203T1200Z/
Hudson-New York (Manhattan)-Bronx-Richmond (Staten Island)-
Kings (Brooklyn)-Northern Queens-Northern Nassau-Southern Queens-
945 PM EST Sun Dec 1 2019

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MONDAY TO
7 AM EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4
  inches.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New
  York.

* WHEN...From 11 AM Monday to 7 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain into Monday morning, changes back to
snow Monday afternoon into early evening. There is uncertainty
with the exact timing of changeover. These amounts potentially
could be higher should the transition to snow occur earlier.
In addition, there is the potential for a heavy band of snow
just to the west, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per
hour. Should this band move over the advisory area, snowfall
totals would be a few inches higher than forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

Check local Department of Transportation information services for
the latest road conditions.

Also covering their asses for the death band.

Nice little double hedge:

So Trenton went from 11.1 inches to 1.3 inches in one run, 6 hours apart, crazy.

If that doesn't tell you this is a nowcast tomorrow nothing will. Forget the models, all they're telling us is some people within a 75 mile radius of NYC will do well tomorrow and some will get screwed, they don't know exactly where yet, and they won't even after it begins.

Insane.

LOLOLOL gfs is a big hit from CNJ north

i give up. I have IEP's to write; winter break is coming and I am under pressure to get things done before the break, and I'm sitting here hoping for a snow day which will only make my workload worse. Will see you all when this gets rolling, if it ever does.

Yeah I'm about to give up on this one. Nothing is going our way tonight.

Given the vast uncertainty regarding where the heaviest bands will setup, this would be foolish to give up.

Massive bust potential though for someone, good or bad. Personally I think they'll be a large deform band over our area with the heaviest just west of the city.

Local spots could see 8-12" with many seeing 6"+
