That would be a decent even for this time of year, but is it counting sleet? and that cutoff looks awfully sharp. Yeah but that's at 10-1. Temps are borderline at best. Its really rare to get a big whopper in my parts this time of year, 3-4 solid inches, even if sloppy, would be a big deal. Go ten miles west its a different story. But not always, Boxing day delivered over 30 here and just a few inches not far west.
wxman
Based on all the guidance 4-8" looks spot on for west central NJ. Exactly where the NWS has it.

It’s cold aloft but warm at the surface. Your going to need it to rip for the surface temps to crash and snow to accumulate. Your going to lose some qpf to rain
EasternLI
Amsterdam NY is about to get slammed in a few minutes. And it's already going pretty good. Here's a webcam for there. Time sensitive. https://wnyt.com/article/12991/ 1

It can start accumulating quickly, even if there's a lot of rain prior. Seen that lots of times. Makes cleanup interesting.

TJW014
00z runs the past three days have not been my friend. Again, I'm 60 miles south of most of you and it is hard to get snow down here. But a very nice run for the city.
