The good news for the snowhounds is that the 3km NAM was by far the best model today on ptype/changeover time.  If it holds its idea for tomorrow the snow axis is definitely further east than the other guidance.
Good for snow hounds... Like myself and.... YOU :)

2-3 or 1-3 is what a lot of the forecasts had.  Latest is they're talking about perhaps having to tick their forecasts upward based on what happens tomorrow.

That could easily be underdone in the city if we end up in the right band, or it could be the complete opposite. Big time now cast tomorrow

You guys do realize that it’s impossible to predict where the band sets up and therefore just as imposto predict accumulations.

also if it sets up in NJ it WILL rotate through the city and LI

NYC metro and immediate surrounding NJ and Long Island will be 2-4”. Then if the band sits over you you could double that.

Models rarely get the placement of the bands correctly

Shouldn’t be using this map. Ratios will not be 10:1.

If you are going to be critical of what map I post - please post a map you agree with - thanks - just saying ratios will not be 10:1 doesn't cut it around here - there has to be some reasoning behind your statement with evidence such as a map

Actually most of the time, those bands remain stationary and pound until they snow themselves out. Rarely do they move much...
