Why do I have the feeling we're going to see a redux of last November's snowstorm. DPW better be on alert with this one. Highly volatile forecast.

That debacle is still fresh and weighing on everyone’s mind. Not just clean up crews but the public in general. I don’t see it happening on Monday.

Wow why you think so much, only 30-35 miles nw of nyc I was thinking more of 5-7, are we supposed to stay more frozen now?

Honestly rockland county is a good spot seems like a snow magnet. On top of that you guys are north of 287 which is usually a much colder spot. I think 6-10 is conservative especially if you guys get into the banding! Good luck and stay safe!

There is a big difference between Stony Point and Tappan also. The northern part of the county like Stony Point and Bear mountain can easily see 8+ with this system.

A few models (CMC, NAM) don't have plain rain making it past Southern Westchester/Immediate CT Coast. They may be too cold but there is a decent chance that places even 30-35 miles from the city can stay mainly frozen with this.

You guys seen rgem and hdrps... the overrunning is a heavy snow even for the city for a few hours. We’ll have to keep an eye on it on the future runs for Sunday during the day before Monday’s main course!

Looks like the Euro trended snowier/colder from this afternoons run.

It’s basically just a bigger storm. The precipitation shield expanded, I expect that more and more from the future runs because a low in 980’s barometric pressure spinning off Long Island for days will throw so much CCB moisture. Also the CAD is looking colder from the overrunning for Sunday!

Every post from you has been negative. Let's see some positive posts =)

Positive or negative is subjective....normally I like snow but a storm this early could end the excellent striped bass season or cause the skippers to decide to close up shop for the season ( at least one announced it today, due to the impending storm and lack of "enough" customers, the idea that their fares have gotten too high escapes these guys, but I digress ) so I'm not real disappointed if it doesn't come to fruition, as I'd like another shot at the fish. But it really isn't up to us in any case. I'll enjoy some snow if it happens, but won't shed a tear if it doesn't.

Anthony, I know the strong desire many of us have is to charge in with shovels blazing. The Blue man is an oasis of calm clear informational logic with an occasional stab of emotion. Negative or positive is really not part of BW’s delivery/contributions. As always .....
