nwohweather
Wow this thing is really getting a nice tilt to it. I am impressed at the wind coming out of the NE, absolutely howling out here. Can see this thing overproducing for sure as that 150 kt streak kicks in

AppsRunner
Ended up with around 4" here, depending on which CoCoRaHS station you like in Ames. Not too shabby for a fairly short duration event. Now for the cold!
Chicago WX
Ripped nicely here with the last band that just moved through. Nice flake size too. My two new four legged additions are loving it.
Jackstraw
I have to say some of these snow maps are pretty wild looking due to it being early with fairly warm lake temps. The LES streaks are everywhere...

Hoosier
A surprising amount of blowing snow around here given the wetness of it.
Jackstraw
Flash freezing mentioned in KIND's AFD right around rush hour, glad I stayed and worked from home today. Starting to get a mix here at 34 degrees.
Hoosier
There was a 12 degree spread between O'Hare and Gary last hour. Nice
n1vek
Moved to Denver over the summer, but wanted to check in on the Great Lakes crew getting their first storm of the year. Enjoy it guys.

Chinook
I just love looking at the radar when there are bands of precipitation that are so smooth.

tuanis
Plenty of blowing and some drifting this morning. It looked like a January snowfall and felt like one too. Pretty impressive to have steady snow at 21 degrees in early November. There was about 3" down when I left for work. Tollway was pretty snowpacked the whole way to Rosemont. RogueWaves
I work basically 1/2 mile from KJXN and we've been at 1/4 mi vis for hours. Would eye-ball it at 5-6", beating even the 12z hi-res calls of 3-3.5" by 18z. Quite the impressive performance for any date, let alone first half Nov I see GRR's graphic per their update with web-cams along 94, the upper left is the Marshall rest area. Cars getting buried here in the lot. Going to have fun digging my way out later on...

MIstorm97
Measured 4.6” in Berkley as of 15 min ago. Still coming down good with a long while to go. 6 inches or more looking like a lock here. Good storm.
nwohweather
Heavy sleet in NW Ohio currently. I think the lake enhancement is going to be quite a boost to the totals, especially for those east of I-75. My call is 3-4" for all places west of I-75 & 4-6" for all portions east. Currently the radar is essentially showing a blank yet the sleet is absolutely pouring to the point it looks like a mini hailstorm. Once this turns to snow as the band approaches it will be rip city
MikeGold
Under an intense snowband for the last several hours. Now 9" near Grass Lake, MI. I-94 West bound between Grass Lake and Jackson closed. 1

The tilt to this thing with that jet streak is providing plenty of forcing, anyone solidly in the band is going to see some serious totals. I really was shocked most didn't go WSW, especially with it being early season and mid weekday storm. Very dynamic system that can also pull from some warm water on the lakes, should be a solid hit

Still a very quality event for so early, and was fun to track.
sbnwx85
About 3" here. Now for the lake effect to set up. Expecting another 4 to 6 IMBY tonight. Possibly more if the band becomes stationary overhead. I'll post those updates and pictures in the lake effect thread. Absolutely fantastic for mid-November.
