dendrite
It’s almost like ecmwf decided to troll us with these solutions right after becoming lax with their products. Like a euro step in basketball.

ORH_wxman
You know in winter when we need the Scooter streak to weaken, it won't happen like this event where it weakened almost every run from 48 hours ago.

ORH_wxman
So what are we down to now? Rpm still shows a decent snow event. Did we lose the World War II suite?

CoastalWx
I’ll sell the RPM. As much as it would be nice. Surprised because that’s the one model that I’d expect to have Mai Tai’s and Bengal Tigers with a low going into CYUL.
Whineminster
Good. I didn't want it to snow yet. 1 1

Lava Rock
Jesus you think this would be January the way some of you are about to jump off a bridge. There’s a few more threats in the pipeline and it’s only November. Many winters just don’t even have this at all.Agree. Don't want it this early anyway. I'll take the cold though

That doesn't look all far-fetched. I could see many ending as a burst of some snow coating things up. All that cold has to do is arrive a tick earlier. I could have used this in my post that listed the gamut of things the pre-season storm thread included: Someone clinging to an RPM run and claiming "all is not lost". The allure of a 10-day threat is just too strong. On the plus side, he'll be able to spend Saturday washing the rain stains off his truck.
ORH_wxman
Yeah at this point you'd sell the rpm. It's solution isn't crazy but we need to see the cold press come back more on today's runs to give it a little more support

I was thinking more along the lines of the elevation component here. Either way...guess this just isn't trending in the right direction. Time to move ahead to next week...which might have some legs...maybe broken but with that pool of cold air around it's worth watching

CoastalWx
6z Euro is flatter again. Puts the area near the MA/NH/VT border more into play.
Hazey
Still think many will see their first flakes. Either from the system itself or from flurries after it moves by. That’s a win for early November.

dryslot
May be a little high in the NW areas but not bad on there first map, Comes down to amplification and cold press timing, Don't like to see the euro all over the board though on every run, Maybe today will shine more light on this threat.
