...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 9 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 expected.

* WHERE...The District of Columbia, portions of central,
  northern and southern Maryland and central and northern
  Virginia.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 9 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

Thanks! I look forward to getting back into the swing. Our spring was crazy and summer was hot and dry. Ready for some winter action. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my west Texas fall :)

Wow...hh Gfs drops the deep January cold into the conus ( Barney colors+) at the end of the run . First flakes on the horizon :D

Yeah it develops a monstrous PNA ridge with multiple TPV lobes rotating down, then it drops the hammer and brings one down over the GLs at the end of the run.
