Everything is relative and its November....3-6" is "crushed".

Misinterpretation on your part.

My post was just generally speaking. We would need a better airmass and a more rapidly developing low for a wider audience to see snow. Obviously hills don't need as much help, but I was just speaking to a wide audience. Also, it’s pretty far out still.

Agree. This is why I don't care at this point. But by the same token, it's the most interesting potrntial in sight.

Yea, we need those heights flipped in the pac but west zones can do well with that look if the atl hangs on.

I preen for a Dec 1970 pattern.  Shit Pacific , we had between 17 and 40 inches across SNE with 15 days with snow in the air. I remember it well as a 13 year old map making weenie. Oh how we pray

...RECORD BREAKING EARLY SEASON COLD SNAP IN CARIBOU...

Caribou has set a record low temperature the last 3 mornings:
* Nov 16: 8F (old record 10F in 1985)
* Nov 17: -1F (old record 4F in 1943)
* Nov 18: 0F (old record 3F in 1943)

The -1F in Caribou on Nov 17 was the earliest 0F or colder reading on
record. The previous record earliest was Nov 21 with -1F.

Also, the 2 days straight of 0F or colder in Caribou on Nov 17-18 was
easily the earliest 2 days straight of 0F or colder on record. The
previous record earliest was Nov 30-Dec 1 (1941).

It’s nice to see we can still pull off record early cold after the last 2 Novembers. One of these years we’ll pull off something ridiculously cold in January again.

A lot of our best Decembers didn't have a great PAC pattern. 2007, 2002 (interior), even 1995 was so-so....amazing NAO block though. Kind of weird actually. I'll have to make a composite of the top 10 decembers and see if that holds when I add in all the other good years.
