Chicago Storm
What happens with the EPO is really going to shape the upcoming pattern. Euro ENS still want to bring the EPO + for a while, flooding much for the country with mild air for the most part. GFS ENS keep the EPO -, with a more up/down pattern...with cold shots and snow potential.

Snowstorms
The Euro drops the PV right over Lake Superior . On a side note, pre decent ridging near Western Greenland, indicative of a west based -NAO. This helps push the ridge towards the Plains/Prairies. It's not the best look for a winter storm for our region though.
A-L-E-K
really does look like joe's indian summer will verify into the med/long range, can't say i'm too bummed, better than CAD at least

Nelson
Hopefully the agreement in the 8-10 is a sign that things are settling down a little bit and we will have some better model handling in the long range. Doesn't look good in the 8-10 but maybe some signs of life after that if we can get that ridge to slide east.

Hoosier
Can we time a warm-up any worse? Hopefully we lay down a nice snow field in the coming days to maybe slow down/mitigate to some extent.

Hopefully we lay down a nice snow field in the coming days to maybe slow down/mitigate to some extent. Looks mostly dry so if Monday works out we'd probably only gradually melt it and temper the warm-up.Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
mimillman
I’ll take a warm December if it means a cold and snowy January any year.

Hoosier
There is a good storm signal about a week and a half from now. Could be pretty big for somebody. Whether it happens in time for Christmas is questionable.
RCNYILWX
The ensembles don't look half bad for the end of the month with both the EPS and GEFS in agreement on a -EPO/-PNA alignment. Obviously far enough out/subject to change and no guarantee of a spread the wealth snowy stretch, but reasons to be cautiously optimistic if we can get that look inside 10 days. Snowstorms
12 years ago today, I remember the infamous winter storm that dropped 8-12+" from SEMI to the GTA. If only we could get a repeat, lol.
