HIPPYVALLEY
I'm impressed, it is legit stormin' outside. My anemometer is down but we are easily gusting 30 and certainly higher up in the pines and in the hills.

LikesNaturesFury
After my last post, it calmed back down to "breezy". But it is getting frisky here again. I just heard a sound that I can't indentify. I'm going to check around the house.

CoastalWx
2 minutes ago, WinterWolf said: Thanks for clarifying. If there is rain cooled air being forced up into a layer that is at least a little warmer (like tops of hills because of temp inversion)...the parcel is now wanting to descend. This is a katabatic or downslope wind. This may have encountered a warmer and drier layer as it moves west and descends into the CT valley.

KoalaBeer
Rocking here in North Andover. Was surprised to see a few power flashes though, I guess the wet ground and foliated trees aren’t helping. Impressive storm on sat images. HIPPYVALLEY
Pretty intense band of precip just S of here moving NNW. I'll stay up for a few more minutes to see if some good winds mix down. I live in a no wind zone so I have been impressed tonight.

eire015
After being illuminated by a search light from a state trooper's car I could see that apparently a tree or part of a tree is down across the line in front of the house. Branches are down in the road and lawn furniture is overturned.

bristolri_wx
Had some very big gusts a little after midnight. Power flashed on and off a few times, then we lost power. Looks like half the town is out here. Calmed down for a few minutes, gusts are picking back up again.
