mreaves
Hoping this moves far out to sea. Going to be in SE NH this weekend with 40,000 snowmobilers. Won’t help much if the fields are mud pits. Dry through the weekend would be nice. 1 1

It has the classic land/sea convergence zone that PF loves to point out. I’m sure it’s overdone, but that is a usual jack in these setups, south of Boston. We have a decent grass drag event here in CT, in Terryville in a couple weeks. Usually draws quite a few of us sledders.

Torch Tiger
3. Recent satellite wind data indicate that a small area of low pressure has formed in association with an area of disturbed weather located a few hundred miles southeast of Charleston, South Carolina. The system is producing winds to near tropical storm strength and the associated thunderstorm activity has recently shown some signs of organization. Although upper-level winds, are not particularly favorable for additional development, only a small increase in organization could result in the formation of a tropical depression or storm later today or tonight. On Wednesday, the system is forecast to merge with the low off the east coast of the United States, and further development is not anticipated after that

Can just picture a fluid atmosphere flowing fast over the ocean then hitting the mainland friction and that air just piles up on itself, with no where to go but upward. Buckets and buckets of rain.
