OSUmetstud
I thought cuse and oswego were going to get their best snow Tuesday morning. This current stuff is junk due to a combo of dry air and only low level lift resulting in heavily rimed flakes and a bit of sleet as there is a weak warm nose just a touch above zero there currently.

It's not much different up here. The "good" news is we get way more chances to have Lucy take the football away up here, as compared to i-95'ers. OTOH, lake effect (fake snow BTW) takes the sting out of the soul crushing nonsense. Until it fails us too, which it will given time.

CNY-LES FREAK
Commence frdz until next batch of mix rolls through. I do however think we're still gonna see a period of decent snows around these parts but a far cry from what was expected! KBUF was right and we all need to apologize to them and we pressured them into posting Adv's,lol! 1

It’s tough to find a dedicated place not concentrated on the major metro areas.

DeltaT13
Latest regional radar trend seems to show the storm is starting to take more of a pivot rather than boldly sliding NE; which should slow the advance of the western edge. Im out driving around the west side of Monroe county and it’s absolutely ripping. Probably 4-6 inches in places.

Awful winters tend to follow me around (Buffaloweather can attest to this). I went to Michigan and they had some horribly pathetic winters when I was there, then went to Redfield last winter...not one good blockbuster event...like I said earlier, sorry to the Cuse because I moved to the burbs here! This is definitely happening right now in WPA and I'm starting to become a bit more hopeful for at least 3-6" with the band of snow that has to come through our CWA. Monroe county was always supposed to be the Jackpot so jo surprise there but I think the Niagara Frontier is gonna get pounded for a time later this evening. I think many of the models were over-emphasizing the "front end"...and perhaps as things materialize with the main part of the system, we could see the current HRRR snowfall numbers go up. We shall see...

DeltaT13
The density of this snow is incredible. You can literally walk on it like you have snowshoes on. It will have serious lasting power! Also the reason accumulation seems low. Will be interested to see SWE. 1
