rochesterdave
I’m gonna be sitting right on that hard cutoff at my folks house in Pittsford, SE Monroe county. I’m thinking I should can that idea and stay up in Irondequiit on the lake shore. I hate being on the cusp.
DeltaT13
Storm looks good so far. I'm definitely going to be out driving around late tonight when things are really cranking! I guess I should throw out some calls. BUF - 6 Roc - 9 (This might be a stretch but I'm feeling unusually optimistic) Syr - 6 BGM - 1.5 (poor bastards)
tim123
Think we may be surprised optimistic roc can get double digits. The cold air is record breaking being ingested in this storm.

OSUmetstud
Rates across the Niagara frontier will suffer a bit through early afternoon due to poor snow growth and the best 850-700 fronto over southern Ontario. Once the lift collapses to the southeast the niagara frontier should go to town this evening with rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour at times. Lake enhancement is marginal due to no dendritic snow crystal production in the low levels until about 06z as the storm pulls away. BUF 10" IAG 11" ROC 13" SYR 5" 3

I'd divide this map /3! Actually quite a few models show enough precipitation left over behind the front to give the coast a little winter..Gfs,Nam,Arw2 etc...
Thinksnow18
So while the flake size has increased the rate has slowed so it almost appears like mood flakes...this must be the part OSU was discussing regarding the issues over the Niagara Frontier

TugHillMatt
So, are the HRRR and RAP going to be correct? If so, Syracuse folks you can thank me for the crappy winter coming...………………………………………………..

Thinksnow18
Ok couple observations...1) where are you Buff Weather?!?!?! And 2) I think the roads and sidewalks are on the precipice of caving her in Williamsville...temp is 29 and snow is finally accumulating on my stone patio and on some mud in The yard where the dogs have trampled it. rochesterdave
Yeah. Coming down good in Irondequoit (n side of Roc). Still a bit worried about the dreaded taint but there ain’t nothing to do about it so may as well enjoy. It sure looks like the start of a good one! Just picked up the new snow thrower! 1/2 mile visi 33f (30 away from lake). Enjoy everyone. May we all overachieve!

Steady snow which has picked up in "steadiness" and flake quality over the past hour. About 1/2 - 3/4" down. I'm near the county border though, not downtown.
