nw baltimore wx
Holy smokes. I know you guys have been talking about the euro's solution over the past day or two, but I had no idea it was such a good hit for many of us. Probably about .75" for me between 4AM and noon tomorrow, and even better to the east. It seems a little early for model wars but hopefully it's right.
wxdude64
FINALLY!!! A nice steady light rain/drizzle that started around noon yesterday and continues currently! 0.64" at 7 am CoCoRaHS reading, another looks like approx 0.05" since and I'll take EVERY drop. Currently 53.7/53.0

Growing new grass.. constantly watering (because it won't rain) so they come towards the only wet ground for miles and miles to hunt for worms. What a quandary. Yep, know the feeling. I replanted the 'dead' areas from this springs planting and had been watering since Friday when it cooled off. Hoping to see some green today/tomorrow. I've climbed Quandary, BTW, in CO. lol
EastCoast NPZ
Almost .6" since yesterday afternoon. Cool and damp. Very needed rain.
nw baltimore wx
Desperate times calls for desperate measures, and at the risk of having trash thrown at me, the long term HRRR looks better at 12z than it did at 6z if you like the euro. Fire away.

Eh, I don’t think so, but it’s bouncing around so much with the low placement as it chases convection I’m not sure whether to pay it any mind.

Yup, we actually were under a solid band for a bit around 11 last night. Tonight is a pretty tricky forecast but I think there's a decent chance we see at least some rain.

My dog tore up a family of moles the first fall we had him - sniffed them out from above the ground and dug them out from 6-8 inches down. I felt kind of bad, but we haven't seen a mole since. I love that dog.

adelphi_sky
Thank God I got that .01 inches of rain. Now I don't have to turn on my sprinklers.
CAPE
LOL the HRRR. Yes ofc I believe my yard is going to see three quarters of an inch by noon tomorrow. The Euro is trying to "gracefully" back out of its heavy rain (fail) forecast for this area. There likely won't be any significant rain in NE MD either. That will be gone by 0z. 1

dailylurker
Looks like I get a 5 minute shower then back to dry dusty for the foreseeable future. AA and PG counties seem to be the bullseye of this impressive drought. I hope we don't get some crappy warm dry winter this season.

CAPE
Light sprinkle here in Easton. Looking at radar it looks like it will rain enough in my yard to maybe dampen the ground. Sad that I cannot be there to experience it.
WxUSAF
Two days in a row now I've seen SWward moving radar echoes right along the I-95 and 295 corridor around the rush hour time of morning. That's counter to the direction that the rain has been moving each day. I'm using the COD radar page. Could this be rush hour traffic seen by the radar? Don't recall seeing this before. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=LWX-N0Q-1-24 More likely it's birds/bugs, but the location seemed coincidental. wxdude64
Another 0.63 to go with yesterday 0.64, a nice two day 1.27" total that actually had a chance to soak into the ground rather than immediately runoff to ditches and creeks. A rather raw day with NE breezes....I like! Stayed under 55 degrees all day/night. Currently 51.3/49.9.

Don't think it would be traffic since you get a lot of SW-moving returns south of DC. Traffic would be moving north. Very slowly. It's chemtrails. And HAARP.
