If things can work in our favor I could see a shot at accumulating snow in early November. I actually wouldn't mind a front loaded winter and get all our snow through January and then warm up in February and get an early spring

Just north of you there are 60+ CoCoRAHS stations in VT with >4.0” this month and 14 stations with >6.0”. Its been a wet month overall in VT. About 2.25” to be precise. A lot of the heavier rains scooted N or E of us.

Greg
I think the it's going to be mostly an Enso Neutral Winter but with a slight bias toward positive territory. Just my take on things so far. https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/lanina/enso_evolution-status-fcsts-web.pdf

The past few years have been annoying with brutal cold into May. I'd rather just deal with it now and get it over with.

dendrite
Really looking forward to the cold biased FV3 GFS breaking weenie hearts. With that said, the euro/gfs differences are more than just a simple temp bias. Will be interesting to see if the euro budges at all.

weatherwiz
I think tornado potential is being downplayed a bit in south-central TX tomorrow...especially just N and W of Austin.
weatherwiz
I totally see the point about the cooler air quickly undercutting activity tomorrow, but there is a window...albeit brief where there is an impressive overlap of parameters. Even looks like some 350K theta-e air poking into the area. Lapse rates may not be much but that could yield some pretty decent MLCAPE values
