Met1985
Again even after the main batch of moisture an upslope component will kick in and maybe squeeze out another inch or two also as the NAM is showing.

Radar reflectivity does not support that.

A Murphy to Manteo event would be awesome. The way this Winter has gone for most of us so far, it would be poetic justice.

SnowDawg
Very encouraging quicker erosion of the warm nose here in the GA Mtns. Problem is it's a coarse global model and the NAM is probably better for that. Gonna be a long 24 hrs of model runs, sitting right on the dividing line. Buckethead
Jason Boyer says forget about the nam, it ain't happening...because, you know...it's Jason Boyer. He doesn't like snow...he's told me as much. I'd like to know his reasoning behind that, but gave none.

I quit following his social media pages. He's the most ho hum meteorologist I have seen and is nearly always a day late and dollar short. At least Chris Justus acts like he gives a damn.

Dude, he gets dragged on social media. Kinda feel bad to see it because he's a really nice guy personally. A couple of weeks ago someone asked him on facebook if WLOS needed us to set up a GoFundMe for better forecasting equipment. 1

Most likely waiting for the nws. This is why I quit watching them years ago. Along with the nws forecast.
Hvward
Most 12z EPS members see some form of accumulating snowfall at KAVL. That’s an increase from this morning. Euro is slowly trying to come around. Will be interesting to see the 18z and 0z.

It showed .3" on the euro for KAVL...wasn't that the 0z run? Did he not even look at 12z?

One storm in 2014 he called for a half an inch in Marion and we had 2 inches by the time he put out the graphic. Forecasting on social media isn't easy by no means but he has a way of rubbing people the wrong way at times. Brad P too.

FlatLander48
Well, it does look like the NW mountains are still the weak spot for this storm for our area. Still wouldnt mind a couple more jogs to the NW
BooneWX
I’ve got a good feeling about this event. I’m not a met, just a hobbyist like most of us, but something in me says that the NAM verifies.
