BhamParker
Just about every other model has some sort of wrap around snow and euro is clearly trending in at least in that direction.
FlatLander48
Honestly wish we could skip the potential monster 1-3 inch snow we might get from the ULL and get to Monday! wow it's gonna be nice!!! 1

You should most likely get a couple inches from the flow snow up on soco

Tyler Penland
Yeah it will be interesting to see who wins out. The NAM is sticking to its guns but so has the GFS and EURO...I'd bet serious money that the gfs and euro are both under doing the extent of the NW precip shield. Not to mention we still have 2 days for the inevitable nw shift. Temps are still gonna suck but hopefully the mountains can something. Honestly I'd rather not see any NW shifts I'd rather just take my chances with questionable moisture rather than questionable temps.

Wouldn’t a north west trend help get better rates here that would help with dynamic cooling.

Not necessarily. You have to have a deepening storm system to get the dynamic cooling. Just heavier rates wont really do much. We would get the same 35 degree rain that weve been getting. Granted a NW trend in this case would generally Indicate a stronger system so sortof yes.
WarmNose
I’m torn. I’m definately making the trip to sugar/beech this weekend to ski but I’m not sure which is the better option. Saturday/Sunday night or Friday/Saturday night? I’d hate to miss out on what the NAM is selling but A) I don’t believe it yet b)) I’d rather not waste a night getting rained on. Im leaning Saturday/Sunday night..thoughts?

FlatLander48
Just a quick note. You will NOT get a more expansive push to the west with the precip shield with this look. Way too positive tilt. Coming from the CMC, I think this look compared with the surface charts is a little generous, and a bit overdone on how expansive the precip field is.

Tyler Penland
The difference in the 0z NAM and the 18z GFS at 48 hours is wild. Few hundred miles difference at 500mb over Texas. Last 3 Nam runs have all trended towards the gfs though.
SnoJoe
Light to light/mod snow here but the temp is 33.4 so it's burning up when it hits the ground. At least there's a few flakes in the air tonight.

MotoWeatherman
Snowing at a decent rate here on Beech. Temp is below freezing and the ground was still covered from the other day. Cam_West-222348-222357.mp4

This is not a joke. We have a solid half inch, and I'm pretty sure this is the 2nd biggest or biggest snow of the season lol. 5
