About all the models have 3 to 5 inches of rain the next 10 days and it's already wet... High dingy water will get those big browns bitn.

wncsnow
I just want to see some legit winter weather for a couple weeks, with at least 1 or 2 miller A's. Is that too much to ask?
Sw NC weather
Can’t believe there’s not more chatter on here, I think we might have a shot at some snow in the 8-10 day timeframe. Euro looks interesting.
Hvward
12z Euro with a good front end thump similar to yesterday. Let’s see how long it’s holds, I would much rather watch the long range Euro compared to the GFS. Anyways, I’ve been working on some topographic maps for the area for my website and figured I would share them with you guys to see if you had any corrections that I should make.

jburns
My apologies. I deleted two of these map posts thinking they were identical. Guess I need to see an eye doctor. EDIT: I managed to recover them. No harm no foul.

Hvward
GFS & Euro both show some ULL action late Saturday night with snow showers around WNC.
franklin NCwx
The system towards the end of the week looks slightly intriguing. Hopefully that can dig enough to drop a few inches region wide. That's about all we have to track for now.
Looking to the skies
Time frame through 6th - 9th although this not a Miller A set up is there hope for a 1-3 inch snowfall for the mid south and even the south? Even maybe a dusting to mid Ga?

Tacoma
well one good thing is there is no direction to go but up, that's some hope,
wncsnow
GFS and Euro look way different even later this week. Euro has 2 to 4 inches of rain and GFS much less. Then the GFS tries to develop a southern wave on the next front giving a decent snow chance next week. Euro has a low cutting up the Ohio Valley with showers/storms and turning a bit colder behind it.

Buckethead
12z GFS is pretty optimistic about snow chance along the border next week. I'm not getting my hopes up as long as the Euro shows rain though...I've seen how this usually plays out.

wncsnow
Not that impressive this weekend maybe an inch or 2 in favored areas on the border. Next week could be a bit better for upslope areas but doesn't look that great right now. If it doesn't turn around in late Jan or Feb this winter may turn out to be one of the all time least snowy. Even places like Beech and Mt Mitchell have barely seen half a foot all season.

WxKnurd
Another event where I’ll manage flurries to a dusting, maybe I’ll be able to reach the 1” mark for the season if I’m lucky. Just not situated in an area for NWFS to accumulate. Hope Buckethead, Met, Joe and you guys up in the High Country score a decent event.
