Highs today:

ATL  99

CLT  98

CAE  97

RDU  96

GSP  96

PTI   95

TYS  94

AVL  91

Almost all of these were records, except CAE (not sure about TYS).

I noticed Augusta to CAE to FLO were not as hot as some other cities, relative to normal, clouds or just wind flow or orientation of the high?

Anyway, crazy stretch especially ATL seems to have been the epicenter; 10 straight days at 95 or higher.

GSP supposed to be 82/62 today with average temps dropping every couple of days.  We ain't been CLOSE  to that!

Our 30 year averages are going to skyrocket once the 80s drop off and we figure in the 2010s.

That's a good thing. Then you won't have to complain about temps being so far above average. You can just enjoy!
