There are so few flights, if I hear a jet coming in for a landing, I check to see the airline (Delta today), wait a few minutes, grab a DD and then head up.  Even if I hit the 2 lights as red, I still get there in under 5 minutes.

Good for you for using a designated driver in the middle of the day.  Party on.

Okay--back to the temperatures here at the Pit.  Just got back from the airport.  Here's what I had:

When I left, Accurite read 73

Car when I left--73

Car arriving at ORH - 73

Car leaving ORH - 74

Car Arriving home - 75

Accurite when I got in - 74

Accurite 10 minutes after I got back at 75*, ORH currently 75.2

Not sure what to tell you, Brian.  It reads what it reads.

Could be foliage that is making a difference. We're still at tail end of warm season where the extra shade and foliage can suppress neighborhood PWS temps vs airport ASOS temps.

Or it could just be rounding/calibration errors which if they are 1 degree off could make your temps equal. Your spot theoretically should be about 1 degree warmer.

How does this happen again after El Faro? Is it really that has not to sail into the eye of a major hurricane in 2019? Looks like a NOAA hurricane hunter assisted in the search and rescue mission as well which is probably a first.
