Kmlwx
Past 24-48 hours I've noticed scrolling is jerky and not smooth on the forum. Have double checked other websites and none are showing a similar problem. Has anybody else been experiencing anything similar?

I've thought it was my computer being slow until now. Not alone.
Kmlwx
Loading times seem fine - it's just the scrolling. Also seems like my CPU fan is spinning up more when on AmWx. Have tried a couple different browsers and a few different computers running different builds of Windows 10.
Kmlwx
Noticing another symptom - weird lines flickering in the grey post headers while the page is loading. Also, while a window with AmWx is open - all other tabs slow to a halt (especially streaming video). Something is sucking system resources with the forum. wxmanmitch
It's not just you, I've been noticing these symptoms too on my Macbook using Chrome. The page loads as I scroll down as opposed to loading all at once when I click on the link. As such, the page is slower to load and gets my computer warm and the fan cranking. Annoying... Not sure if the admins changed anything...BUT - it does seem improved today.
hawkeye_wx
Yes, I am experiencing the same thing. Scrolling and typing are very laggy and very annoying. I hope it can be fixed.
Roger Smith
Have noticed similar problems, site access is poor on my mainframe but better on laptop which has newer Windows installed.
Kmlwx
I am experiencing it on fully updated Windows 10 machines running the latest updates of 1903. Chrome and Firefox both appear to be impacted. I had not noticed the typing lag until tonight. It seemed like it had improved in the past few days but today it is bad. Also noticing significant fan activity on my devices when the site is up on my computer.
Kmlwx
Taking a look at task manager while AmWx is running doesn't provide much help either. No CPU or RAM spikes. Interestingly enough - the site performance seems worse on the two machines I have that are of high specs. It seems okay on my Intel Skull Canyon NUC - but poor performance on my full sized desktop with an i7 CPU and 32GB of RAM.
Roger Smith
As of now my mainframe performance is about 0.1 on the 10 point scale, laptop is about a 9. Wondering then if that means the laptop has installed some upgrade on a graphics program in use, while the mainframe has not. Anyway, unworkable for my contest files on mainframe, going along fine on laptop.

MattPetrulli
Pretty slow the past week or so here.
dendrite
A little update... Most of us on staff haven't had issues, but John just checked in and said he's had them and he hasn't been able to figure out the problem yet. I will mention that performance for me in Firefox has improved pretty significantly. Chrome seems as bad (if not worse) as before. Have tried on multiple devices including one with the latest graphics card updates and latest Windows patches.
smokeybandit
I've had the same issue, both on a Windows 10 PC and an Android tablet.
Rhino16
Yeah, the website will load in as I scroll down. Pretty obnoxious, but i’ll live.
Roger Smith
We may not know what happened in FL with Dorian until Hallowe'en (on some devices, my laptop continues to zoom along at jet stream speeds).
Kmlwx
Still very, very bad performance on Google Chrome. Seems mostly okay (a bit slow at times) on Firefox. Chrome is so bad with the forum that videos playing in other tabs stutter while the forum is open. Mouse movement also becomes choppy.
Jonger
Horrible performance. This site and Ampol.... they both run like crap. Scrolling on a Samsung S8 and my notebook is abysmal. Can we roll this back until a fix is released?

But Chrome on the desktop is awful. I wonder if other boards using Invision are impacted.
Roger Smith
For me, back to the traditional so-so 4 on a 10 point scale of site performance, after about a month of unusable 0.5-1 type jammed up issues (laptop still runs at 9/10). Kevin W
This site is unusable on my work Windows 7 PC. (Chrome browser) Seems it uses a TON of memory and brings my system to a crawl. Closing this site resolves it.
Baroclinic Zone
This has to be a localized issue with some users. I haven't noticed any degradation from my work PC, home laptop, iphone, or ipad. 4 devices and no issues whatsoever.
PrinceFrederickWx
I can only use this site on Mobile. Bringing it up on my desktop (Chrome) crashes my entire system.
Wow
I have upgraded a number of things, hence the downtime last evening and this morning. This should be resolved now.
