HIPPYVALLEY
Pretty fantastic spring conditions at Berkshire East right now. Probably no more than 100 people or so here and it is an absolutely gorgeous sunny day. I think the rain forecast scared a lot of people away.

GCWarrior
Looks great up there at Berkshire East! I'll be heading up for a bit after I get out of work. Kids are already up skiing with friends. Going to be slush on top of ice tonight!

snowgeek
Looking at Killington's webcams this morning and it looks like the natural snow got decimated. Coverage in the woods doesn't even look good. Hey Scott, how did Stowe hold up?
MarkO
Skied Tenney Friday for the first time. Talk about old school. Thin cover, no trails marked closed, barely any trail signs, narrow, windy, bumps and rollers, exposed brush, a few rocks. I loved it Psst, it's the mountain you want to hit after a dumping, like this upcoming Sunday (fingers crossed!)
GCWarrior
Berkshire East got destroyedover night. The coverage was not bad yesterday, today it was downright sad. They are closed tomorrow. Hopefully they can fire up the guns soon.

Southshorewx
Returned home from Breckenridge monday morning on the redeye. They forecast snow showers everyday. It snowed 3-5 every 24 hours and the mountain reports 0-1 inch on the website. If we had 3 inches per day here people would be going crazy. Angus
planning on alpine skiing for first time this season on Sunday or Monday - really hoping these two events deliver in the notch. The thought of skiing a bunch of ice is unappealing for my first day out of season. This has to be the latest start to my season in 15 seasons. Agreed! I have lived and skied all over the country and my home hill still makes me smile. The Beast has done a splendid job snowmaking this season and offers enough terrain to keep me busy for a couple hours despite no natural snow right now. Living 15 mins away helps me like it a lot too. I just hope we can get some natural snow this winter. Place has some killer woods skiing if you know where to look. eyewall
I often wonder how ski areas down here in NC stay in business. This year has been especially bad of course. Of course there has been record warmth for a a big portion of this month in the Southeast to the point where the bugs are coming back outside the mountains and Daffodils are appearing. This is Sugar Mountain (summit is over 6K ft):

I believe their average is around 70" or so.

Not sure how long they have been closed this season.

Killington/Pico reporting 10" today with snow showers continuing. With another round of snow forecast for the weekend, MLK conditions might be OK. Heading up on Friday. snowgeek
My lucky son skied Bachelor last weekend. They've had 6' this week. He said powder was waste deep and he had untracked almost every run. A skiers dream!

bwt3650
Classic jay day today..moderate snow all day, frigid temps and deep powder woods. The glades skies awesome and there was about 10 fresh. NNE mountains did really well. The top chutes were deep as hell. Crossover trails a little icy but overall, what an amazing day!
