North Balti Zen
Holy crap - a storm popped up pretty much right over Towson to north baltimore and is just sitting. Was dry here - but now it is not. Wow.

Pretty robust CAPE today, but the lack of a organized impulse and shear will mean it's all about mesoscale features for initiation.

They could use it for sure We really could use a 1 - 3" all day soaking rain. We're edging pretty quickly toward D0 / D1 status.

So I drove out of it to pick up my wife at the airport - as we drove back into downtown from bwi could see some wicked cloud to ground strikes and then as we circled onto MLK drive we hit hail and some winds that shook the car. The hail looked penny sized bouncing off the hood of the car. Pretty sure that was what the SVR warning was for.
jacindc
Poured rain for about a minute at Nats Park at the end of the 3rd, apparently, but here, about eight blocks away, nothing. Bright sun now, though, so hopefully some more to come.

frd
Picked up over an inch of rain here in a rather interesting storm. At the end poured with bright sun out. During the storm vivid CTG lightening. I believe Elkton, MD. got it very bad. In that area the storm was warned. Awesome cloud images as well when I was driving home. Got lucky with this rain, did not expect anything today. I had already watered the garden this morning.

frd
The 12 z Euro looks decent for some cooler weather after the next few days. Looks like a big change to me . The cooler weather arrives then it looks to warm up for a few days, but by that time it appears another cooler air mass is building over the Northern Plains getting ready to drop SE. The West Coast really warms up as we hit the end of the month.
