gravitylover
I just had a very heavy shower, it's lighter now and making a great sunshower kind of thing. I was up a few miles from Lake George earlier today and it's SO dry up there. From the rain last night it's wet and moist from me up to about mid Columbia County then it dries out big time. Cfa
90/70 the split here. Down to 84 with clouds now, feeling small raindrops falling intermittently, heavy shower just missed me to the west (again). Only 0.01” in the last 12 days.

Good thing for modern sprinkler systems with very little rain over the last 11 days.

Didn't rain nearly as heavy here but had decently strong outflow winds from it. I'd guestimate around 30mph
CIK62
A groovy sun shower in CI right now (6:47pm)...........That cell that limped in from Newark, has dissolved itself in-situ over me---by 7:02pm.

SRRTA22
35+mph gusts here that lasted seconds with this second storm. Torrential downpour, no lightning Edit: Looking at radar and eyewitness visual of a heavy rain shaft that approached quickly, likely experienced a weak wet microburst. bluewave
While the high temperatures have stepped down from the steamy July levels, the minimum temperatures are still staying up. NYC is currently at the 6th longest streak of 67 degrees or higher. Islip has the 2nd longest 64 degrees or warmer streak. A continuation of the less warm is the new cool theme. Wil lbe interesting if the cooldown kind of softens on the guidance. Today was a perfect day if we can get the rest of the summer like this it’s be nice. I’m sure we’ll get another push of heat by the middle of August but I wouldn’t trust the GFS past 240hrs. The latest gfs has the Bermuda high developing past 240hrs which is possible but unlikely. enjoy this cool air while it lasts though I’m sure it’ll get kinda hot again!
JustinRP37
I'll be cheering for the Bermuda high to close out the month. Keep the swimming pools and beaches as nice as possible until mid September.
