Yeah. The atmosphere requires constant instability for tropical activity. The dry air is also a major problem.
Cfa
87/80/101 7th day this summer with an 80 degree dew point at my PWS, granted my PWS is sited near vegetation (though still in full sun with good air circulation) and evapotranspiration is possibly a contributing factor.

Yesterday I couldn't get to 90, only got to 89.2. I'm sure we'll get another 2 or 3 days of 90 before the front moves through on Thursday. The S wind depending on strength makes it a struggle to get 90.

CIK62
Just made it home from beach. CI being pounded by heavy rain for last 10 mins. (now 4:03pm). Came on fast from the west. Not much thunder. The next 30 mins. were a bore of light rain, a few rumbles, breaks in the cloud cover.

jm1220
This one may actually make it across the sound without collapsing. Hoping for something at least decent. Hearing thunder now.

Santa Claus
Question is, with blue skies to the west of the developing line, and plenty of sunshine left in the day, will storms develop on the outflow boundary?
LIWeatherGuy29
No rain here in 12 days. Figures the only storm heading for me would weaken. SW Nassau has really dried out.
