TalcottWx
Scooter I think the winds here were actually outflow from your cell. Which is the crazy part. It wasn't even from the cell hitting here I don't think?

TalcottWx
About 10 seconds after this crack of thunder all hell broke loose wind wise. Rain was blowing into that room and window I shot from and the trees were blowing side to side.

Things are quieting down for the moment. Looks like about 2.80" over about an hour. Should be interesting to see what happens with that stuff off to the west. I'd imagine we could see some localized flash flooding (if not already).

TalcottWx
Sounds like some serious damage in the area. Didn't get address, but large hole in roof of a house somewhere. A lot of sirens. Boston fire is busy.

USCAPEWEATHERAF
Low-level shear has increased ahead of the line in SE MA and RI, up to 20-knots.
CoastalWx
Well this is a first. Davis has more rain than regular gauge. About .72” regular gauge vs .91” Davis. Davis has under measured every event since I’ve been here. Maybe wind messed it up? Normally that equate to like 1.25” in my Lowe’s gauge.

Baroclinic Zone
That cell that hit Scooter I believe I got in on it on Rt 495 in Franklin. Went from nothing to apeshit in mere seconds. Winds were nuts and the rain sideways. Looked like a winter squall.

Then a minute later more moderate to heavy. Again prior to rain we had uptick in CG ahead of it. Kept hitting same area pretty close to house. Didn’t expect winds. Maybe stronger other areas but good 30-40kts my estimation and I don’t weenie that. Some branches down in hood.
