Very disappointed with the rain gods yesterday. Watched that very impressive line of storms dwindle to almost nothing by the time it got to my area. .20" was all we could get. Now it looks like it will be another 8 days or so before we get another shot at some rain. Only good thing is the temps. Currently 81/71. Nice for July. 

Side note: I am sitting at a paltry 22.76" for the year. Cannot wait for this miserable summer to be over with.

That's really cool....and they  occurred only 7 hours apart.

I went from 64 this morning to 92 right now. About 6 hours apart. Same thing happened yesterday.

Same thing happened to me last week while in Kitty Hawk. Before the front came through, surface temps were in the 90s but the water temp dropped to 61 degrees. After the front came through, surface temps fell into the low 80s but then the water temp came up to tolerable levels. Crazy...
