TalcottWx
Finally got through to the fam, My Dad is speechless. He says it's the worst thing he's ever seen. We have damage to our house. Roof damage. Our flagpole in front bent right in half. He says he counts a dozen trees down just by our house within 50 feet. Utility poles are in half. Power lines destroyed.

Cyclone-68
Maybe not completely analogous but I’m reminded somewhat of those two days in August ‘86 when Providence had back to back tornado warnings on consecutive days

TalcottWx
He's having trouble with cell service. I asked him if trees fell in multiple directions. Sounded like he described straight line. But not sure if he's had chance to travel enough to tell (or if he would understand)
dan11295
Probably some significant straight line wind damage as well. Chatham Police is also reporting several impassable roadways.

LSC97wxnut
If tornadic, at least EF-1 per the Cape Sands Roof?
TalcottWx
I'm not convinced it was a tornado all the way through. It definitely touched down. Wouldn't doubt a lot of straight line damage too being perhaps majority of damage. Looks like tornado damage is limited to EF0 or EF1.

dan11295
Looking at the outages, most of this damage is probably straight line wind. 60%+ of Dennis, Harwich, Chatham is out but also fair amount in places like Orleans which was probably north or any potential touchdown. Won’t be an ef1 like the May 2018 WCT spinner but impressive for the immediate shoreline nonetheless.
