moneypitmike
I'm guessing it will have been easier to walk around to look for the strikes at the old Pit than it will be here. Not sure folks want me trapsing through their yards.

moneypitmike
Looks like this first line is the key to the excitement. Upstream looks more like a whole lot of showers.

HIPPYVALLEY
Wow, complete miss on rain here so far. We had 3 minutes of light rain and that has been it for the day so far. Humidity is just nasty right now. 80/72 I did an hour of yard work and had to retreat inside to the A/C.
moneypitmike
We just had a second "next door" type strike. I was thinking the thunder/lightning show was pretty wrapped up. Gotta love the strikes that sizzle.
ineedsnow
Terrible pic because it was raining so hard and was like a waterfall on the slider.. but if you look close you can see the tree bent to the left.. that's when we had the 53 mph gust.. 1

moneypitmike
Kind of boring, but here’s the rain coming off the roof during the deluge. Edit.....just played it with the sound on. Makes for a better appreciation (along with a flash and rumble of thunder).
Lava Rock
Props to the Bostonian Hotel. It's our anniversary and not only did they give us a top floor room with great view, they just delivered a cheese tray and bottle of champagne. It was funny cause we had a knock at the door and I wasn't sure who would be knocking, so I opened it with just a towel on since I had gotten out of shower. Guy was surprised for a second then said happy anniversary.Meanwhile still rn with some lightening. .

Typhoon Tip
Huh... interesting. Apparently there was a heat advisory in place prior to the run-of-the-mill summer line of showers with some totally pedestrian embedded thunderstorms that got over-warned ...saved for one or two isolated cells, which is also climate ... Ginx snewx
Box AFD lol, no relief in sight? Sunday into Sunday night ... Drying out. Cold front continuing to push out as Canadian high pressure settles in from the N. Boundary layer mixing with mix- down of drier air pushing in within the low-mid levels, should see dewpoints get down into the 50s with some spot 40s making for a comfortable Summer day with relative humidity of around 40 percent, highs in the upper 70s to low 80s as NE winds shift SE with speeds around 5 to 10 mph, stronger along the coast with gusts up to 20 mph. Overnight ... quiet, clear, light winds, an environment favorable for radiational cooling. Leaning towards cooler guidance, lows in the 50s. Good time to open the windows, air out the house, welcome some fresh air in 1
